Motel One is a leading provider in the European budget design hotel segment with over 90 hotels and 26,000 rooms. The project aims to provide and continuously optimize a scalable, secure and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure for the company's e-commerce platforms. We have been working closely with Motel One since March 2023, using agile methodologies and proven technologies such as Terraform, ArgoCD and AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service. The motel-one.com and the-cloud-one.com websites benefit from end-to-end availability, robust security and an excellent user experience.

Technical facts about the platforms

  • Security and data protection: Use of AWS Web Application Firewalls and MultiAZ setups for RDS to meet GDPR requirements and ensure data integrity.
  • Deployment and management: Use of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and ArgoCD for deployment in the Kubernetes cluster according to the GitOps principle, as well as regular data backups with AWS Backup.
  • Monitoring and scaling: Comprehensive monitoring with AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Loki and Grafana, as well as automatic scaling based on real-time traffic analysis to optimize platform performance and efficiency.
